Teja Sajja’s upcoming film, tentatively titled PMF2, has got its official title. The film has now been named Zombie Reddy 2, marking the return of the zombie-action franchise with Teja Sajja in the lead. The title was announced on the actor’s birthday, along with details about two prominent additions to the cast.
Kannada superstar Upendra has joined the project in a key role, while Tu Yaa Main actress Shanaya Kapoor is set to make her Telugu debut with the film.
Teja Sajja’s PMF2 is now Zombie Reddy 2
Teja Sajja will reprise his role as the franchise’s central character in Zombie Reddy 2. The actor returns as the zombie-slaying lead, following the success of the first film.
Zombie Reddy 2 is directed by Suparn S Varma and produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad under People Media Factory. Sharing the title announcement video, the makers wrote, “Welcoming you all back to the ZOMBIE-VERSE This time, it’s BIGGER, BADDER & BLOODIER Happy Birthday, Superhero @tejasajja123 NXT LVL — DEAD OR ALIVE. 2027 (sic).”
For the unversed, the film instalment, Zombie Reddy, was released in 2021. It was directed by Prasanth Varma and also stars Kayal Anandhi and Daksha Nagarkar in key roles.
Zombie Reddy 2: Upendra and Shanaya Kapoor join cast
One of the biggest highlights of the sequel, Zombie Reddy 2, is the addition of Kannada cinema superstar Upendra. The makers are yet to reveal details about Upendra’s character. On the other hand, Bollywood actress Shanaya Kapoor, known for her role in Tu Yaa Main opposite Adarsh Gourav, will also be part of Zombie Reddy 2, marking her Telugu cinema debut.
The music for the film is composed by Gowra Hari, while Vijay Velukutty has handled the editing and Abhinandan Ramanujam has served as the cinematographer.
Teja Sajja’s work front
On the work front, Teja Sajja was last seen in the Telugu film Mirai, directed by Karthik Gattamneni. The film also stars Manoj Kumar Manchu, Rana Daggubati and Jagapathi Babu. The film is now available to stream on the JioHotstar platform. Teja Sajja is best known for his roles in films like Hanu Man, Mirai, and Adbhutham.
