This is the first time an Indian news podcast has bagged a SOPA Award.
Hosted and reported by ET’s Anirban Chowdhury, the winning episode analyzed how excessive flying and inadequate rest periods were pushing more and more Indian pilots into perennial states of fatigue. It also delved into the issue of regulatory lapses and outdated norms and how all this would lead to safety hazards. The episode was produced by Sumit Pande and sound designed by Rajas Naik.
