Vat Savitri Vrat: Step-by-Step Puja Vidhi
On the day of the vrat, women wake up early, take a bath, and dress in new sarees. Lighting a lamp in the home temple, they take a vow to observe the fast with devotion. All puja items should be arranged in a basket.
Women then visit a Banyan (Vat) tree for the rituals. If a Banyan tree is not accessible nearby, a twig planted in a pot at home can serve the purpose.
The puja begins by offering water to the roots of the Banyan tree. Next, place the picture or idol of Savitri and Satyavan near the tree.
