Gurugram police have booked a Punjab resident for allegedly attempting to send opium to an individual in America by hiding it in two packets contained in the containers of Chyawanprash that he had booked via courier.
While scanning the bundle on Thursday, the courier firm staff detected one thing fishy following which they known as the crew of State Narcotics Control Bureau. When the bundle was opened, 422 and 420gms of opium in two small packets have been discovered inside the 2 containers of Chyawanprash. Following the invention of the contraband, an FIR was registered on the Udyog Vihar police station.
According to the criticism filed by ASI Mahender Singh of Haryana State Narcotics Control Bureau, on Thursday Virendra Singh, safety investigation officer of a courier firm of Udyog Vihar space inform the bureau a couple of suspicious parcel.

Following the criticism, an FIR was registered underneath Section 18 (c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) act at Udyog Vihar police station on Thursday.
“The parcel has been seized and we’re accumulating the small print of the accused who had booked the parcel. He will likely be arrested quickly,” stated Inspector Anil Kumar, SHO of Udyog Vihar police station.
