PM Modi Foreign Visit Live Updates: PM Narendra Modi, who is on a visit to Sweden, said both nations share common values rooted in democracy, the rule of law and people-centric development. He announced that both nations have decided to elevate bilateral relations to a Strategic Partnership, focusing on areas such as green transition, defence, emerging technologies and stronger people-to-people connections.
PM Modi also highlighted the vast scope for collaboration in advanced sectors including artificial intelligence, health technology and green mobility.
PM Modi arrived in Gothenburg, Sweden, on Sunday, for the third leg of his five-nation Europe-West Asia tour. Earlier in the day, PM Modi also met Robert Maersk Uggla, the chairman of Maersk, the world’s second-largest shipping company.
“In Gothenburg, met Mr. Robert Maersk Uggla, Chairman of Maersk. We discussed the large scope of opportunities in India and deepening investments, especially in sectors like port infrastructure, logistics and more,” PM Modi tweeted.
