
The body of a seven-year-old woman was found in a jute bag in Kolkata’s Tiljala space inflicting locals to dam roads and railway tracks and vandalise police autos on Monday. The woman was allegedly killed after being sexually assaulted by one among her neigbours.
The woman, a resident of Kustia’s Shri Dhar Roy Road, was lacking since Sunday morning and after an intensive search, policemen found her body in one of many flats in an condo block within the locality, the police stated. The flat proprietor was arrested and the body was despatched for autopsy examination.
People take to streets in protest
Violence broke out in West Bengal’s Kolkata on Monday after a number of protesters clashed with police personnel. The group of protesters hit the streets of Kolkata’s Tiljala space, and vandalised private and non-private properties by setting them on hearth.
