Justice Suvra Ghosh, before whom the matters were mentioned, is likely to take them up for hearing on Friday.
The ED claimed the searches were part of a routine probe into money laundering.
It alleged that West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee “forcibly” removed “physical documents and electronic evidences in two of the premises” during ED’s raids at the office of India Political Action Committee (I-PAC) at Salt Lake and the residence of I-PAC’s co-founder, Pratik Jain. ED has filed a case citing obstruction and hindrance to the investigation during the raids. ED clarified that “the search is evidence based and is not targeted at any political establishment”.
‘Delinked from Polls’
“No party office has been searched. The search is not linked to any elections and is part of a regular crackdown on money laundering. The search is conducted strictly in accordance with established legal safeguards,” the ED said.
