Whoop has a new display-less fitness rival in the form of Amazfit Helio Strap that does not need a subscription to track your health and fitness.

Fitness bands without a display are not common and brands like Whoop come to the top of our mind, especially because of celebrities like Virat Kohli who wear it. Amazfit is entering this unique space with the Helio Strap which is its first wearable without a display but is tuned to help you track sleep, and other activities.
There has been a lot of noise around smart rings in the last 12 months but bands sans display can deliver long standby time, and also stop you from seeing the watch just because it has a display. The Helio Strap stops the distractions in the right way.
Amazfit Helio Strap Price
The Helio Strap may not have a display but it is priced at $99.99 (Rs 8,550 approx) which takes it into the premium category. In comparison, the Whoop Band series starts from $199 (Rs 16,800) and it needs a subscription plan to be fully used.
Amazfit Helio Strap Features
The Strap is made of a fiber-reinforced polymer body and weighs just 20 grams which means you can wear it for long hours and even sleep. It gets 5ATM water resistance which can handle up to 50 meters. Because it comes without a display, the Strap can handle the other intensive sensors to focus on the health side of affairs.
The strap has a 232mAh battery which is claimed to run for up to 10 days in typical use. It works with both Android and iOS devices, using Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity. You have to pair it with Amazfit’s Zepp app to really unlock the features of the wearable.
But the main aspect of the Strap is the fitness and health features. It has a slew of sensors like BioTracker PPG for heart rate, stress, SpO2 that also gives you the right impetus to go running, cycling, pilates and even yoga.
You can sync it with apps like Google Fit, Apple Health, and even Strava to make the best of the details and tracking. This is a hard-core fitness device that can sit on your wrist for more than a week and give you the best possible data to help change your lifestyle and other patterns based on its monitoring.
