Hours
after
the
National
Testing
Agency
(NTA)
successfully
conducted
the
National
Eligibility
cum
Entrance
Test
for
Undergraduates
(NEET
UG
2024)
in
557
cities
in
India
and
14
cities
abroad,
a
copy
of
the
NEET
UG
exam
paper
started
doing
round
the
internet
and
thousands
of
social
media
users
claimed
that
question
paper
was
leaked.
Soon
after
the
post
went
viral,
aspirants
started
to
worry
and
requested
the
examination
conducting
body
to
take
cognizance
of
the
matter
and
investigate
immediately.
“Scammers
are
exploiting
NEET
students
by
promising
leaked
papers
in
exchange
of
money.
Several
Telegram
channels
claim
that
they
will
leak
NEET
UG
2024
paper,”
said
a
social
media
user.
Diving
into
the
past,
another
social
media
user
said,
”
A
similar
incident
of
NEET
paper
leak
happened
in
2021,
at
that
time,
8
people
were
arrested.”
Also,
some
NEET
UG
aspirants,
who
opted
for
the
Hindi
medium,
complained
that
they
were
handed
over
English
question
papers
at
Rajasthan’s
Girls
Higher
Secondary
Adarsh
Vidya
Mandir
examination
center.
Reacting
to
the
buzz
and
number
of
complaints,
NTA
totally
junked
the
claims
of
paper
leak,
however,
agreed
that
the
wrong
question
paper
was
handed
over
to
some
students.
The
Indian
Express
quoted
an
NTA
official
saying,
“Where
the
instances
of
‘paper
leak’ being
claimed
are
completely
false
and
it
is
being
done
just
to
sensationalise
the
news.
In
an
isolated
incident
at
Girls
Higher
Secondary
Adarsh
Vidya
Mandir,
Mantown,
Sawai
Madhopur,
Hindi-medium
students
were
given
English
medium
question
paper
by
mistake,
and
by
the
time
the
invigilator
was
correcting
the
mistake,
students
forcefully
walked
out
of
the
exam
hall
with
the
question
paper.”
“As
per
the
rules
students
are
only
allowed
to
exit
the
hall
with
the
question
paper
after
the
exam,
but
some
students
walked
out
forcefully.
Due
to
this,
the
question
paper
was
circulated
on
the
internet
around
4
pm,
but
by
that
time
the
exam
had
already
started
at
all
other
centers
across
the
country.
So,
there
has
not
been
any
‘leak’
of
the
NEET
UG
question
paper,” he
added.
