India vs Afghanistan T20I Series: Check Full Schedule, Dates And Venues

<p>Afghanistan have announced their squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against India. Despite Afghanistan being the designated hosts, all three games will be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.</p>
<p>Ibrahim Zadran will lead the Afghan side, while fast bowler Naveen-ul-Haq has returned to the squad.</p>
<p>India and Afghanistan met in Test and ODI series earlier this year in June, but their upcoming T20I contest will be their first in the shortest format since January 2024. The three-match series is set to provide another opportunity for both teams to prepare their squads for upcoming assignments.</p>
<p><strong>India vs Afghanistan T20I Series Schedule</strong></p>
<p>All three matches will take place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.</p>

<p>September 15: 2nd T20I – Arun Jaitley Stadium</p>
<p>September 17: 3rd T20I – Arun Jaitley Stadium</p>
<h3><strong>Afghanistan Squad</strong></h3>
<p>Afghanistan have named a strong squad featuring several experienced campaigners and emerging players.</p>
<p>Ibrahim Zadran (captain), Rahmanullah Gurbaz (wicketkeeper), Noor Rahman (wicketkeeper), Sediqullah Atal, Darwish Rasooli, Azmatullah Omarzai, Gulbadin Naib, Mohammad Nabi, Rashid Khan, Nangeyalia Kharote, Noor Ahmad, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Fazalhaq Farooqi, Abdullah Ahmadzai and Naveen-ul-Haq.</p>
<h3><strong>India vs Afghanistan: Head-to-Head in T20Is</strong></h3>
<p>The two teams have previously played only one bilateral T20I series. That contest took place in January 2024, with India completing a 3-0 series sweep.</p>
<p>The final match of that series produced an extraordinary finish, with the contest eventually being decided after two Super Overs.</p>
<p>India&rsquo;s squad for the upcoming series has not yet been announced. With the team management continuing to experiment with its T20I combination and regularly handing opportunities to younger players, some changes to the squad could be expected.</p>
<p>Youngster Vaibhav Suryavanshi could also attract plenty of attention if he retains his place in the Indian T20I setup.</p>
