US
President
Donald
Trump
has
once
again
taken
a
swipe
at
singer-songwriter
Taylor
Swift.
In
a
fresh
social
media
post,
he
claimed
her
popularity
has
waned
since
he
criticised
her
during
the
2024
election
season.
Posting
on
his
platform,
Truth
Social,
on
Friday,
Trump
wrote:
“Has
anyone
noticed
that,
since
I
said
‘I
HATE
TAYLOR
SWIFT,’
she’s
no
longer
‘HOT?'”

At

The
remark
was
made
during
his
ongoing
visit
to
the
Middle
East
and
represents
yet
another
occasion
where
Trump
has
targeted
Swift,
who
had
endorsed
Vice
President
Kamala
Harris
during
the
2024
presidential
campaign.
Swift’s
political
endorsement
attracted
widespread
attention
at
the
time
and
became
a
key
point
of
debate
during
the
election.
Although
Trump’s
campaign
initially
downplayed
the
significance
of
Swift’s
support
for
the
Democratic
ticket,
the
President
later
ramped
up
his
criticism,
declaring
bluntly:
“I
HATE
TAYLOR
SWIFT!”
Trump
has
also
taken
aim
at
singer
Bruce
Springsteen,
who,
like
Swift,
expressed
support
for
Kamala
Harris.
Springsteen
recently
criticised
Trump’s
presidency
during
a
European
concert
tour,
describing
it
as
exhibiting
“authoritarian” tendencies.
Over
the
past
few
months,
Trump
has
made
multiple
remarks
involving
Taylor
Swift,
including
claiming
she
was
booed
at
the
Super
Bowl.
He
also
mentioned
her
name
last
month
during
a
White
House
event
held
to
honour
the
Super
Bowl-winning
Philadelphia
Eagles.
