Shani Jayanti 2025: Shani Jayanti, the sacred birth anniversary of Lord Shani (Saturn), is celebrated on the day of Jyeshtha Amavasya. Much like the revered occasion of Shivratri, Saturn Jayanti holds immense spiritual significance. Among the nine celestial deities (Navagrahas), Shani is considered the one who delivers justice by rewarding or punishing individuals based on their karma. Effective Remedies To Appease Shani Dev On Saturn Jayanti:
- Respect Elders: Saturn is known as the ruler of old age. It is believed that maintaining harmony and showing respect toward elderly parents and elders in the family invites Saturn’s blessings. Without their blessings, rituals and remedies performed on Saturn Jayanti may prove ineffective.
- Charity and Helping the Needy: Donating iron items such as tawa (griddle) or chimta (tongs) to the underprivileged on this day is considered auspicious. Offering shoes or slippers to barefooted poor individuals is also said to bring relief from Saturn’s adverse effects.
- Shadow Donation (Chhaya Daan): On this day, take mustard oil in a bronze or iron bowl and look at your reflection in it. Then donate both the oil and the bowl to someone in need. This act, known as “Chhaya Daan,” is believed to remove obstacles related to employment, business, and marriage.
