Domestic equities opened flat on Monday tracking global cues. BSE benchmark Sensex was trading 29.12 points, or 0.04 per cent to 65,426.74, while broader NSE Nifty 50 was trading 11.90 points, or 0.06 per cent to 19,554.55.
ICICI Bank was the top gainer in the opening session, up around 1 per cent, after the private sector lender’s Q2 net profit jumped 36 per cent year-on-year to Rs 10,261 crore on higher core income and lower provisions.

On the flip side, Kotak Mahindra Bank fell over 2 per cent in the morning trade, after the lender announced that Ashok Vaswani was going to be the next CEO and MD.
All broader markets were trading on a negative note, as India Vix slumped 7.48 per cent,
Nifty Microcap 250 slipped 1.64 per cent, followed by Nifty Smallcap 250 at 0.69 per cent, Nifty Midsmallcap 400 at 0.57 per cent, and Nifty Midcap 100 and 150 at 0.51 per cent each.

Sectorally, Nifty Media fell 1.45 per cent, realty slipped 0.95 per cent, metal fell 0.89 per cent, PSU Bank tanked 0.72 per cent, and oil & gas and consumer durables indices 0.47 per cent each.

Kotak Bank, Grasim, TCS, LTI Mindtree, L&T, Tech Mahindra, Tata Steel, Bajaj Auto, Coal India, ONGC, Maruti Suzuki, BPCL, Titan and IndusInd Bank were the top losers.
Meanwhile, Divis Lab, Bajaj Finance, M&M, ICICI Bank, Tata Consumers, Bajaj Finserv, PowerGrid, Dr Reddys, Hero MotoCorp, and Nestle India were the top gainers.
