Actor Romit Raaj, who portrays Rohit Poddar in the popular television drama ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’, is all set to exit the show. His character will soon meet a tragic end, adding an unexpected turn to Rajan Shahi’s long-running series.
In a recent interview, Romit opened up about his departure, revealing that he was aware of his character’s short-lived arc from the beginning. Speaking to Zoom, he shared, “My Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai journey has been closest to my heart. I loved each scene so much. Every dialogue was spoken from the heart. I knew it was going to be a short journey, and I cherished every moment. I am eternally grateful to Rajan Sir for such an amazing opportunity to entertain my fans and well-wishers. Big thank you to YRKKH fans for loving me so much and making this journey so special. I am looking forward to new beginnings.”
Having completed the shoot for his final episode, Romit is now eager to explore new projects within the television industry.
For those unfamiliar, Romit had stepped in to replace Shivam Khajuria in the show. Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai currently stars Rohit Purohit, Samridhii Shukla, Garvita Sadhwani, Shruti Ulfat, and Anita Raaj in pivotal roles. The show is produced by Rajan Shahi under the banner of Directors Kut Productions.
