Business Tycoon and Chairman Emeritus of Tata Sons Ratan Tata took to the microblogging site Twitter on Tuesday to appeal to people to protect stray animals during the monsoon season. Tata, in the tweet asked people owning four wheelers to be careful before turning them on as stray cats and dogs, including other animals seek refuge under parked cars when it is pouring outside. also urged people to give temporary shelter to stray animals during the monsoon.
“Now that the monsoons are here, a lot of stray cats and dogs take shelter under our cars. It is important to check under our car before we turn it on and accelerate to avoid injuries to stray animals taking shelter. They can be seriously injured, handicapped and even killed if we are unaware of their presence under our vehicles. It would be heartwarming if we could all offer them temporary shelter when it is pouring this season,” read the caption of the post shared by the 85-year-old industrialist.

No sir, these stray cats & dogs are cleverer than human beings. The moment we step in to the car, they get up & run away. What we need to take care during monsoon is those homeless footpath dwellers more than stray cats & dogs.
