Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav was in the news recently after he was sent to Delhi’s Tihar Jail over a Rs 9 crore cheque bounce case. However, he was granted interim bail on February 16, 2026, and has since returned to work.
Recently, the Bhooth Bangla actor appeared on Farah Khan’s popular cooking vlog on YouTube, where he spoke about his jail experience. Read on to find out what the actor had to say.
Rajpal Yadav talks about his days in jail in Farah Khan’s cooking vlog
Filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan visited Rajpal Yadav’s manager Saket Swahney’s house to shoot her cooking vlog with her cook Dilip. Farah said she brought some food, kadhi chawal and a potato dish to which Rajpal Yadav said he has also prepared something for her.
Farah expressed her happiness over the actor’s release from jail. She said, “Mereko achha lagg raha hai ki tu bahar ghoom raha hai, sabse zayada vohi acha lag raha hai (I’m happy to see you out and about, that’s what makes me the happiest.”
When Farah Khan asked Rajpal Yadav about his time in jail and if was assigned any duties. The actor replied, “Voh naubat nahi thi, lekin bahut discipline se rehna tha vahan pe aur proper time kaatna tha. Maine har condition mein jeena seekh liya hai. (It never came to that, but I had to live there with a lot of discipline and serve my time properly. I’ve learned to live in every kind of situation).”
About Rajpal Yadav cheque bounce case
For the unversed, Rajpal Yadav surrendered at Tihar Jail on February 5, 2026 after the Delhi High Court rejected his plea to give him more time in cheque bounce case. However, he was granted interim bail on February 16, after he deposited some amount. Earlier in March 2026, Rajpal Yadav got relief from the Delhi HC as the court stated that he would not be sent to jail after making a “substantial” payment.
Rajpal Yadav’s work front
On the work front, Rajpal Yadav will be next seen in Priyadarshan’s horror comedy film, Bhooth Bangla alongside Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Tabu and others. The film is set to release on April 17, with its paid previews to be held on April 16, 2026. He is also a part of comedy drama film, Welcome to the Jungle.
