Qlan, a social networking app designed for gamers and esports enthusiasts, has secured $200,000 (Rs 1.64 crore) in pre-seed funding from Marwah Sports, CIIE.CO, and Faad Network.
The company said that the funding will fuel its expansion and enhance gamer networking, discovery, and content creation capabilities.
Sagar Nair, Co-founder and CEO of Qlan said that the pre-seed funding round signifies an exciting new phase for Qlan.
The platform has attracted early adopters across the Indian subcontinent, Asia Pacific, Europe, the Americas, South Africa, and the MENA regions.
Previously a bootstrapped firm, Qlan had a lengthy six-month beta testing process before launching the platform’s final version in January 2023. It has been downloaded by over 100,000 users. The early-stage start-up, which has a team of over 20 experts, has attracted a user base of over 50,000 gamers.
