Panamkudantha waterfalls is an undiscovered tourism destination which is located beside the Sabarimala forest and holy pamba river. It is just 30 kilometers away from the district headquarters. The exact location of the waterfalls is in Kurumpanmoozhy, a remote area with a smaller population. On reaching Kurumpanmoozhy, a small off-road drive of one kilometre through the forest will reach you to the destination. Always remember to make the travel either in bikes or in off-road vehicles as it will help better to experience the uniqueness of the terrain. The entire area is blessed with a cool climate as the trees provide a natural shelter and you can also experience the freshness of clean air which can refresh the mind of travelers. Running water throughout the year, shallow water pits, well connectivity of roads from the neighboring districts are the major reasons which attract the local tourists to this waterfall.
A visit during the monsoon season is the best way to witness the magnificent view of the waterfalls and at the same time, it can lead to accidents on entering the water for bathing. So, it is advised to visit the waterfalls between the month of August to September.
