youths.
In
a
cabinet
meeting
held
on
Friday
evening,
the
Bihar
government
decided
to
introduce
an
“unemployment
allowance”
for
jobless
youths
across
the
state.
The
cabinet,
led
by
Nitish
Kumar,
approved
the
Bihar
Unemployment
Allowance
Rules
2024,
incorporating
provisions
under
MNREGA.

Kumar
Process
for
Allowance
Under
the
newly
approved
rules,
eligible
individuals
who
remain
unemployed
after
applying
for
jobs
will
receive
a
daily
unemployment
allowance
from
the
state
government
if
they
do
not
secure
employment
within
fifteen
days
of
their
application.
This
allowance
aims
to
support
job
seekers
by
providing
financial
assistance
within
specified
limits,
starting
from
the
date
of
their
application.
