<p>Covering an enormous space, the Brahmaputra’s catchment spans 2,93,000 sq. km in Tibet, 2,40,000 sq. km in India, and 47,000 sq. km in Bangladesh.</p>
<p>The river is sort of a sea as one cannot see the opposite financial institution of the river which has a mean width of 5.46 kilometers.</p>
<p>As it journeys from China (Tibet) to the Assam valley, the Brahmaputra encounters a dramatic change. The steep slopes flatten, giving rise to its enchanting braided look.</p>
<p>Along its course within the Assam valley, the Brahmaputra is embraced by about 20 essential tributaries on its north financial institution and 13 on its south financial institution.</p>
