Maharashtra Election 2024 LIVE Updates: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday addressed a rally at Dadar’s Shivaji Park in Mumbai, where he accused the opposition-led Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) of becoming a “slave to appeasement.”
“Maha Vikas Aghadi has become slave of appeasement. They raised objection to Ram Temple (in Ayodhya), used the word ‘saffron terrorism’ to get votes, insulted Veer Savarkar, passed a resolution to reinstate Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, and have also raised objection to imposing the Constitution in the Union Territory,” PM Modi said.
PM Modi’s rally comes just less than a week before the Maharashtra Assembly elections, with polling scheduled for November 20. The vote count will take place on November 23.
While both the Mahayuti and Maha Vikas Agadi are gearing up for the upcoming elections, a political tussle is going on between the ruling BJP and the Shiv Sena (UBT) over claims regarding the bag checking.
