Good food comes from the right measurement of ingredients. For the perfect recipe, some people rely on measuring spoons, while others trust their instincts. While we are focused on the mix, we often face the hassle of washing the measuring spoon again and again. This can especially pose a problem during baking when we are working with several essences, sugar and syrups. A recent viral hack shows how to keep your measuring spoon clean during baking, without the need for continuous washing.
In the video, a social media user is seen setting a measuring spoon on top of flour that is kept in a thali. She arranges it such that it has a tiny hole made in it. Instead of repeatedly washing the spoon, you can now just pour the ingredients directly into it.
Sharing the video, the social media user wrote, “Baking hack! No more washing the measuring spoon a million times. Simply press the spoon into the flour, then pour in the ingredients up to the measurement.”
The simple and useful baking hack has caught the attention of internet users. Since being shared on June 8, the video has collected over 5 lakh views. Many users were impressed by the trick and were excited to try it.
Reacting to the video, a user wrote, “Wow, amazing! Very good hack, thank you so much.”
“Best hack. I will definitely try it out,” a user commented.
“Ma’am, you are too good. Love your energy and smile,” another user praised the woman’s enthusiasm.
There were a few users who also had doubts about the hack. “But won’t the flour soak up while pouring the liquid, allowing extra to go inside? Just a thought,” a user noted.
On the other hand, a few also questioned the purpose of the hack. Sharing his views, a user wrote, “In any bakery recipe, we mix the dry ingredients first and then the wet ingredients.”
What are your thoughts on this widely shared hack? Will you give it a try?
