In one of the horrific incident, an Indigo flight travelling from Patna to Ahmedabad was struck by lightning mid-air on Wednesday, prompting the pilots to make a precautionary landing at Lucknow airport.

Indigo flight 6E925 traveling from Patna to Ahmedabad made a precautionary landing in Lucknow after being struck by lightning mid-air at 17,000 feet on Wednesday; all 110 people aboard were safe, and passengers continued to Ahmedabad on a replacement aircraft.
The aircraft, operating as IndiGo flight 6E925, was flying at an altitude of around 17,000 feet when the lightning strike occurred. Despite the impact, the pilots managed to land the aircraft safely at Lucknow.
All 110 people on board, including 104 passengers and six crew members, were reported safe. No injuries were reported following the incident.
IndiGo Plane Lands Safely In Lucknow
The flight landed at Lucknow airport at around 4.05 pm, about eight minutes before its scheduled arrival time.
After landing, the aircraft was taken out of service for a detailed technical inspection. A team of engineers is examining the aircraft, including the area reportedly damaged by the lightning strike.
The aircraft will only be allowed to return to service after the necessary technical checks and regulatory clearance. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has also been informed about the incident.
Passengers Continue Journey To Ahmedabad
To avoid further disruption, IndiGo arranged another aircraft for the affected passengers.
The passengers resumed their journey to Ahmedabad on the replacement aircraft, which departed at around 6.22 pm.
The incident caused no reported injuries, and the airline is awaiting the completion of the technical inspection before deciding when the aircraft involved in the lightning strike can return to operations.
