How Much Prize Money Did D Gukesh Receive At FIDE Chess Candidates Tournament 2024?
While Gukesh scripted history, there was a good reward waiting for him at the end of the competition. While the total cash prize given in this competition was 5 lakh Euros, Gukesh received a prize money of 88,500 Euro which comes down to 78.5 lakh Indian National Rupee.
Soon after Gukesh left the venue after winning the competition, he was mobbed by fans who all wanted to get a piece of the new superstar in the world of chess who looks set to achieve bigger heights in the coming years. Gukesh’s social media was flooded with congratulatory messages soon after his historic triumph. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also took to X to share a message for the youngster.
