Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Cheema on Friday introduced his funds proposals for 2023-24.
The Budget presentation coincides with the primary anniversary of the formation of AAP authorities in Punjab. This is the second paperless funds introduced by the AAP authorities.
Announcing his funds proposals, Cheema made it clear that the main focus of the Budget is on schooling, well being, employment and agriculture.
He highlighted the steps for employment technology, making colleges of eminence and creation of Aam Aadmi clinics.
He additionally highlighted the free 300 items of energy to home customers and steps to spice up the agriculture diversification by selling moong cultivation.
Cheema additionally rued the “detached therapy” meted out to Punjab by the central authorities, which has withheld funds of Rs 9,035 crore.
He mentioned Punjab’s GSDP has elevated by 9.24 per cent this yr to Rs 6,38,023 crore and is anticipated to extend to Rs 6,98,635 crore within the subsequent fiscal.
