🟢 DECLARED — April 9, 2026 at 3:00 PM

Karnataka 2nd PUC Exam 1 Result 2026 has been officially declared by the Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB). Overall pass percentage: 86.48% — a significant improvement from last year.

⚠️ URGENT — Exam 2 Registration closes April 15, 2026 If you want to appear for the Supplementary Exam (Exam 2), your application window closes in 3 days. Do not miss this. Full details below.

✅ Check your result now at: → karresults.nic.in → kseab.karnataka.gov.in → DigiLocker: digilocker.gov.in

The result is out. You have seen your marks. Now the real decisions begin — and several of them have deadlines that are closer than most students realise.

This guide is not about how to check the result. You have already done that. This guide is about what happens next — the revaluation application, the Exam 2 registration window that closes in three days, how to download your official marksheet from DigiLocker, and the admission timeline for KCET, NEET, and degree courses that is already moving.

Karnataka has introduced a three-exam system for 2nd PUC — a structure that gives every student multiple chances to clear or improve their marks without losing an academic year. But each exam has its own registration window. If you miss the window, you miss the opportunity. The first critical window closes April 15.

Karnataka 2nd PUC Result 2026 — Key Statistics

DetailFigure
Result declaredApril 9, 2026 at 3:00 PM
Overall pass percentage86.48%
Girls pass percentage88.70%
Boys pass percentage83.65%
Students appeared~6.32 lakh
Students passed~5.46 lakh
Previous year pass %73.45% (2025)

The improvement from 73.45% last year to 86.48% this year is the largest single-year jump Karnataka 2nd PUC has seen in recent history. Girls continue to outperform boys — a consistent trend across state boards nationally.

How to Download Your Marks Memo Now

If you have not yet downloaded your marks memo, do it today. You need it for Exam 2 registration, revaluation applications, and college admissions.

Official websites:

Steps:

Go to karresults.nic.in → Click “2nd PUC Result 2026 (Exam 1)” → Enter your Registration Number and Date of Birth → Select your stream (Science / Commerce / Arts) → Submit → Download PDF.

Save the PDF to your phone and email it to yourself immediately. You will need it multiple times in the coming weeks — for Exam 2 registration, revaluation, and college applications. Print two copies.

On mobile: Chrome works best. If the site loads slowly, switch to kseab.karnataka.gov.in. The traffic spike from result day has eased — portals are accessible normally now. If both are slow, use DigiLocker (see below).

Karnataka 2nd PUC Result 2026: Exam 2 & Marksheet Links

Download Official Marksheet via DigiLocker

DigiLocker at https://digilocker.gov.in gives you an electronically signed official marksheet — legally valid for all college admissions, KCET documentation, and scholarship applications.

Log in to DigiLocker with your Aadhaar-linked mobile number → go to “Issued Documents” → look for KSEAB under Education → your 2nd PUC marksheet should appear automatically.

If not showing automatically: “Search Documents” → type “KSEAB” or “PUC” → enter your registration number and examination year → “Get Document.”

The DigiLocker marksheet is particularly important for Karnataka students applying to KCET, COMEDK, or degree courses at universities outside the state — they accept the digital version directly.

The Three-Exam System — What It Means for You

Karnataka now conducts 2nd PUC examinations three times a year under the new system. This is the structure:

The Exam 1 (Main): February 28 to March 17, 2026 — Result declared April 9 ✅

Exam 2 (Supplementary): April 25 to May 8, 2026

  • For students who failed in one or more subjects in Exam 1
  • For students who want to improve marks before KCET/NEET
  • Registration: April 8 to April 15, 2026 — closes in 3 days

Exam 3: June 2026

  • For students who still need to clear or improve after Exam 2
  • Registration dates announced after Exam 2 results

This system means no student needs to lose a full academic year over one or two failed subjects. But it requires acting within the registration windows. Missing the Exam 2 window does not eliminate the Exam 3 option — but Exam 3 in June compresses your preparation time significantly.

⚠️ Exam 2 Registration — You Have 3 Days

If you failed in one or more subjects, or if you want to improve your marks for better KCET/NEET ranking, apply for Exam 2 immediately.

Registration window: April 8 to April 15, 2026 Exam 2 dates: April 25 to May 8, 2026 Registration portal: https://kseab.karnataka.gov.in

Go to the KSEAB portal → look for “2nd PUC Exam 2 Application 2026” → log in with your registration number → select subjects → pay the registration fee → submit.

Do this today or tomorrow. Do not wait until April 14 — portal traffic increases near deadlines and technical issues near cutoffs are common. A proactive registration today avoids last-minute problems.

Case Study 1: Kaveri from Mysuru, Karnataka

Kaveri appeared for 2nd PUC Science in 2025. Her overall marks were 71% — decent for most degree courses but 4 marks below the KCET Physics cutoff she needed. She missed the Exam 2 registration deadline because she assumed she had two weeks after results. The actual window was 6 days. She had to wait for Exam 3 in June, which left her only 3 weeks to prepare for Physics before the supplementary exam — and she was also preparing for NEET simultaneously.

She cleared it in Exam 3 but lost two crucial preparation weeks for NEET. For 2026 students in a similar position — wanting to improve a subject to boost KCET ranking — the April 15 deadline is not negotiable. Register today.

Revaluation — Who Should Apply and How

Revaluation is for students who believe their answer scripts were evaluated incorrectly — not for students who simply expected higher marks.

Two options KSEAB provides:

Option 1 — Re-totalling (Recounting): KSEAB checks that all answers were evaluated, that marks were totalled correctly, and that there are no transfer errors. It does not involve re-reading your answers. Fee: announced on kseab.karnataka.gov.in after results.

Option 2 — Revaluation: Your answer sheet is re-evaluated by a different examiner. If marks change after revaluation, the revised marks apply — they can go up or down. You cannot revert to original marks after revaluation. Fee: ₹1,670 per subject

Option 3 — Scanned Copy of Answer Sheet: Before deciding on revaluation, request a photocopy of your evaluated answer script to see exactly what was marked. This lets you judge whether a revaluation is worthwhile before spending ₹1,670 per subject. Fee: ₹530 per subject

The smartest approach: request the scanned copy first, review it carefully, then decide whether to apply for revaluation.

Apply at: https://kseab.karnataka.gov.in → look for “Application for Revaluation/Re-totalling 2026”

The application window typically opens within a week of result declaration — check the portal daily for the link to go live.

Passing Criteria — Read Your Marksheet Correctly

Several students misread their marksheet and assume they have passed when they have not — or assume they have failed when they have not.

To pass Karnataka 2nd PUC 2026:

  • Minimum 33% overall aggregate across all subjects
  • Minimum marks in each individual subject:
    • Theory papers (80 marks): minimum 24 marks out of 80
    • Science theory papers (70 marks): minimum 21 marks out of 70
    • Practical components: separate minimum marks apply

A student with 60% aggregate who scores 20 out of 80 in one theory paper has failed that subject — regardless of the overall percentage. Check every subject row individually.

Case Study 2: Rahul from Bengaluru, Karnataka

Rahul scored 79% overall in 2nd PUC Science. He was happy until he checked his Physics theory paper separately — 23 out of 80, he needed 24, he was short by 1 mark.

He requested a scanned copy of his Physics answer script for ₹530. When he reviewed it, he found a 3-mark question had been left unevaluated by the examiner — the answer was on the page, marked correctly, but not given any marks.

He applied for revaluation specifically citing that unevaluated section. His marks were revised upward by 4 — taking him comfortably above the threshold. His final pass status was updated and he received an updated marksheet within the board’s processing timeline.

The lesson: if you are within 5 marks of the minimum in any subject, request the scanned copy before concluding you have failed. One unevaluated answer or totalling error is enough to change the outcome.

What to Do Next — Stream-Wise Action Guide

Science stream (MPC / BiPC):

KCET 2026 is already scheduled — check the Karnataka Examinations Authority website at https://kea.kar.nic.in for exact dates. Your 2nd PUC marks are used for KCET eligibility verification, not ranking. Your KCET score determines engineering/pharmacy ranking.

NEET 2026 is a national exam — your 2nd PUC BiPC marks must meet the minimum eligibility (50% in Physics, Chemistry, Biology combined). Confirm your eligibility now against the NTA NEET 2026 notification.

Commerce stream:

Degree college admissions in Karnataka typically open May–June. Most colleges accept the online marks memo for initial applications. Prepare your documents — registration number, marks memo PDF, Aadhaar, school leaving certificate — so you are ready when admission portals open.

Arts stream:

BA and allied degree courses begin admissions around the same time. Many Karnataka universities also have KCET-linked management quota seats. Check the KEA website for Arts-specific counselling schedules.

What Nobody Tells You: Your Exam 1 Marks Count Even If You Appear for Exam 2

A common worry: “If I appear for Exam 2 to improve marks, will my Exam 1 marks still count if Exam 2 goes worse?”

The answer — based on how Karnataka’s three-exam system works — is that KSEAB takes the best score from Exam 1 and Exam 2 for the final marksheet. You are not replacing your Exam 1 marks by appearing for Exam 2. You are giving yourself a second attempt where only improvement is counted.

This is why the Exam 2 window is valuable even for students who passed but scored lower than expected. Appearing for Exam 2 in Physics or Mathematics — subjects where improvement is most impactful for KCET — carries no downside risk if the best-score rule applies.

Verify this directly on kseab.karnataka.gov.in before registering, as the board’s official circular is the authoritative source. Do not rely on WhatsApp forwards or coaching institute advice.

Common Mistakes to Avoid Right Now

❌ Assuming you have 2 weeks to register for Exam 2

✅ The Exam 2 registration window closes April 15 — 3 days from today. Go to kseab.karnataka.gov.in today.

❌ Not downloading and saving your marks memo immediately

✅ Download the PDF now, email it to yourself, print two copies. You will need it for Exam 2 registration, revaluation, and every college admission you apply to.

❌ Paying for revaluation without first checking your answer sheet

✅ Request a scanned copy of your answer script (₹530 per subject) before spending ₹1,670 on revaluation. Seeing your evaluated script tells you whether revaluation is worth pursuing.

❌ Checking marks only as a total and missing subject-wise failures

✅ Open your marks memo and check every subject row individually against the minimum marks threshold. A high overall percentage does not protect a failed individual subject.

❌ On mobile: saving the marks memo as a screenshot instead of downloading the PDF

✅ Screenshots are not accepted by colleges and KCET portals. Download the actual PDF from karresults.nic.in and save it to your phone’s Files app. On Android: tap the PDF link → tap the Download icon → save to internal storage.

❌ Waiting for original marksheets before applying to colleges

✅ The online marks memo PDF is accepted for initial college applications. Original marksheets from your college or school are typically distributed 2 to 4 weeks after result declaration. Use the online PDF now for applications — submit originals when the institution asks.

The result is out. 86.48% passed — a strong outcome for the state. But for the 13.52% who did not, and for the larger number who passed but want better marks for KCET or NEET, the next 3 days are more important than the last 3.

Register for Exam 2 before April 15. Download your marksheet today. If any subject mark looks wrong, request the scanned copy before it slips your mind.

The window is open. Do not miss it.
