Don’t mess with India: Amit Shah’s message to world

Union home minister Amit Shah on Thursday said that a strong message has been given to the whole world that no one should mess with the citizens of India, the Indian Army and the Indian border, otherwise they will have to face the consequences. “During the previous government, the country was plagued by terrorist attacks. Addressing the ‘Sahkar & Rojgar Utsav’ in Jaipur, Shah, as the chief guest on the occasion of International Year of Cooperatives 2025, reminded that under Modi an independent Union ministry of cooperation had the goal of extending cooperation to every village, poor person, and farmer. “Today, cooperation plays an active role in 98% of rural areas, and the next 100 years will belong to cooperation. The cooperative societies contribute approximately 20% to the country’s procurement of paddy and wheat, while 35% of fertilisers and 30% of sugar production is done through cooperatives. More than 20% of fair price shops are also run through cooperatives,” he said.

Shah added that 31 crore people are connected to cooperation through 8.5 lakh cooperative bodies. “The government is further aiming to create two lakh new (primary agricultural credit societies) PACS, out of which 40,000 PACS have been created. The computerisation of all PACS has been completed and all the states have accepted the model bylaws of PACS, warehouses are also being built. New cooperative institutions have been created for organic products, export and seed promotion,” he said.
