DigiHaat, a beta buyer-side mobile app built on the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) protocol, announced that it has surpassed one million customer orders within 12 months of launch. The app has been incubated under the Nirmit Bharat initiative of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) and it has also crossed 1 million app downloads.
The app processed over 900,000 orders in the past nine months, marking a six-fold growth surge in the latter half of its first year. “This exponential trajectory reflects the platform’s deepening market penetration and the growing confidence consumers and small sellers have placed in its community-first model,” an official statement added.
“DigiHaat’s journey is closely aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat — using technology to empower local artisans, strengthen neighbourhood economies, and bring India’s cultural and creative wealth to national and global markets.
