A 23-year-old man reportedly jumped from the Mayur Vihar 1 Metro station onto the footpath below on Monday. Metro officials quickly took him to Lal Bahadur Shastri hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Upon reaching LBS Hospital, police discovered that the injured man, G Abhishek Rao, a resident of Mayur Vihar 1 near Ganga Market, was dead shortly after admission, despite medical efforts.
Police have found no suicide note at the scene, and the motive behind the act remains unclear. The family is currently being interviewed to gain insight into any potential factors that may have led to his death, police said.
An inquest proceeding under Section 194 BNSS has been initiated by the police.
