Can BRICS build partnerships powerful enough to reshape the global order? As India hosts the 18th BRICS Summit in New Delhi, the expanded bloc is seeking to translate its growing economic weight into greater global influence. In this edition of BRICS Dialogues, Dr Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, former MP and former President of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, examines the importance of critical partnerships for the future of BRICS.BRICS has expanded significantly and now represents a substantial share of the global population and world economy. But its growing size also brings different interests and geopolitical priorities. The key challenge is whether member states and partner countries can build enough common ground to make the grouping more effective. The conversation goes beyond economics: Can BRICS deepen strategic partnerships? Can trade, technology, culture and people-to-people connections give the bloc greater clout? Can partnerships help bridge differences among its diverse members and strengthen the voice of the Global South?India’s 2026 chairship is also pushing practical cooperation in areas such as startups, innovation and resilient supply chains, highlighting an effort to turn BRICS from a political grouping into a platform with tangible outcomes. n18oc_indian18oc_politicsNews18 Mobile App – https://onelink.to/desc-youtube
