By India Today Sports Desk: England captain Ben Stokes refuted claims that hosts and the visiting Australian team players dumped the customary post-series drinks. Responding to a claim from a journalist, Stokes said the two teams were not able to celebrate in the dressing rooms due to post-match commitments but they decided to hang out in a nightclub.
The series started with Australia taking a commanding 2-0 lead, winning the first two matches at Edgbaston and Lord’s. However, England, under the leadership of Ben Stokes, refused to be daunted by the deficit. Stokes, who had previously matched Don Bradman’s record of three fourth-innings centuries in the Ashes, led his team with an aggressive and uninhibited play style.
The third Test at Headingley marked a turning point for England. Despite being 2-0 down, England managed to win by three wickets, thanks to a stellar performance by Harry Brook and Chris Woakes. This victory sparked a remarkable comeback, with England going on to draw the series 2-2.

Moeen Ali, who was called up for the series after Jack Leach’s injury, chipped in with crucial contributions with both bat and ball while Zak Crawley established himself as a reliable opener for England.
Australia retained the Ashes Urn but Ben Stokes and his team proved that Bazball is here to stay.
