“I want to thank Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia to give me a chance to work in the field of education in politics,” Ojha stated during the event. He expressed his aspiration to contribute to the party’s efforts in enhancing education systems across the nation.
Kejriwal, Sisodia welcome Ojha
Kejriwal highlighted Ojha’s addition as a significant step for the party’s educational initiatives. Kejriwal said: “Awadh Ojha ji has made lakhs of youth capable of employment and living a good life by giving them good education.” He added that Awadh Ojha’s entry into politics will benefit the education of the country, helping with the country’s development at large.
Manish Sisodia said in a post on X (formerly Twitter): “Awadh Ojha ji joining the Aam Aadmi Party will give our education mission more speed, strength and depth. Till now, Aam Aadmi Party has done historic work in the field of education under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal ji. I am confident that after Ojha ji becomes a part of the party, this work will gain even more speed and depth.”
Sisodia, known for his extensive work in Delhi’s education sector, called it a special day for the party. “Ojha had been doing good work in education for which he too has dedicated his whole life,” Sisodia added.
Ojha Joins AAP Ahead of Delhi Elections
The move comes as AAP gears up for the Delhi assembly elections slated for February next year. The party, which secured 62 of 70 seats in the 2020 elections, is aiming for a third consecutive term.Ojha’s entry into politics under the AAP banner signals the party’s continued emphasis on education as a central issue in its governance and electoral strategy.
