Arshdeep Singh, the young India left-arm pacer, has caught the attention of the netizens with a stunning delivery that he bowled in the Essex vs Kent match of the County Championship Division One 2023. The now-viral video has ignited discussions among netizens about Arshdeep Singh’s absence from the recently concluded Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2024-25, where India’s bowling attack heavily relied on Jasprit Bumrah, contributing to their 3-1 loss.
The clip, uploaded by the official social media handles of County Championship, features Arshdeep Singh bowling a jaffa on around the sixth stump line, swinging in tremendously to clip the top off the batter Paul Walter’s middle stump.

While the video is from 2023, it has sparked fresh discussions amongst the social media users about Arshdeep’s absence in the Indian squad for BGT, with one user noting, “I don’t understand why BCCI is ignoring him in tests and odis. Man delivered in back to back T20 wcs and also the highest wicket taker of 2024 T20 wc.”

Isnt this guy is swinging the heck out of the cherry and he could have come very handy downunder along Bumrah ? Why we don’t play a bowler to in test cricket by judging his performance in ODIs ,like Arshdeep ?

Why this guy is not playing test matches is beyond my imagination. Left handed, fast, natural swing. Will be a great option with red ball.
