Bengaluru: Healthcare insurance provider Medi Assist Insurance TPA Private Limited (“Medi Assist TPA”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Medi Assist Healthcare Services Limited, has completed its acquisition of a 100% stake in Paramount Health Services & Insurance TPA Pvt. Ltd. (“Paramount TPA”).
The acquisition is indicated to add ₹4,000 crore in health premiums under administration. According to the company, the acquisition also expands Medi Assist’s provider network and offers opportunities to streamline services through operational synergies and automation driven by artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML).
According to the company, policyholders under Paramount TPA will benefit from Medi Assist’s technology infrastructure, including AI-enabled fraud detection, automated claims processing, and predictive analytics, aimed at delivering a more efficient and user-friendly experience.
Both Medi Assist TPA and Paramount TPA will continue to operate independently until a formal merger process is completed, ensuring continuity of services during the transition period.
