The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) on Tuesday arrested Kushaldeep Singh Dhillon, former MLA from Faridkot, for amassing big wealth than his identified sources of earnings.
A spokesperson of the state VB mentioned a corruption case has been registered in opposition to the former MLA together with co-accused Gursewak Singh, a resident of Nanaksar village, Faridkot district, and Rajwinder Singh, a resident of Dhanna Shaheed village, Ferozepur, after investigation of a vigilance enquiry.
He added that to evaluate his all moveable and immovable assets a verify interval has been mounted for 5 years from April 1, 2017 to March 31, 2022 by the Bureau. During the probe it was discovered that Dhillon had created wealth greater than all his earnings and bought properties in the names of different individuals in Mumara village, Sadik tehsil, Faridkot.
It was additionally discovered that he had made expenditures of about 245 per cent than his identified sources of earnings, he added.
The spokesperson mentioned in this regard a case below Section 13(1), 13(2) of prevention of corruption act and 120-B of IPC has been registered in opposition to all of the above mentioned accused at VB police station Ferozepur vary.
