“The most temperatures are above regular by 3-4 levels Celsius at many locations over Punjab and at a couple of locations over Haryana, Chandigarh and adjoining West Uttar Pradesh,” a bulletin issued by the India Meteorological Department on Sunday mentioned.
Maximum temperature can also be above regular by 6-8 levels Celsius at many locations in the neighbouring Union Territory areas of Jammu and Kashmir, the bulletin added. Significant quantity of rainfall was additionally recorded in the Dharamsala area of Himachal Pradesh together with hailstorm in remoted locations in the state.
In Punjab, the best temperature over the previous 24 hours was 32.2 levels Celsius at Faridkot, whereas the bottom temperature recorded was 12.3 levels Celsius at Hoshiarpur. In Haryana, the best temperature was 34.6 levels Celsius at Sirsa, whereas the bottom was 12.7 levels Celsius at Bawalin Rewari.
The weatherman has additionally forecast a rise in the utmost temperatures by 2-3 levels Celsius over northwest India during the next three days and no important change thereafter.
