Mai Bhago Armed Forces Preparatory Institute (AFPI) for Girls, SAS Nagar, added one other feather in its cap as two of its alumni, Ivraj Kaur and Prabhsimran Kaur, have been commissioned as flying pfficers from the Air Force Academy, Dundigal, Hyderabad, on Saturday.
Flying Officer Ivraj Kaur, who will probably be becoming a member of the Flying Branch as a helicopter pilot, is the daughter of Jaspreet Singh, a farmer from Rupnagar district, whereas Flying Officer Prabhsimran Kaur’s father, Paramjit Singh, who can also be a farmer, hails from Gurdaspur district. Prabhsimran will be part of the Education Branch of the Air Force.
Congratulating each the ladies for his or her outstanding feat, Punjab Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Minister Aman Arora mentioned the fathers of each the ladies are proud farmers and their success will certainly spur youngsters from small cities and villages of Punjab to discover alternatives in serving the nation as commissioned officers in defence providers.
Mai Bhago AFPI has a totally residential campus with state-of-the-art infrastructure and the one one of its form within the nation, he added.
