A day after the horrific homicide of a 16-year-old in Delhi’s Shahbad Dairy space, Delhi Police sources on Tuesday revealed that Sahil, the 20-year-old accused, had after committing the ugly killing switched off his cell phone and altered two buses to attain Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh.

Sahil was arrested from Bulandhshahr by Delhi Police on Monday and shall be taken on remand for questioning, sources added.
“After murdering the woman, accused Sahil went to Rithala, dumped the weapon and altered two buses to attain Bulandshahr,” police sources stated.
Sahil brutally killed a 16-year-old woman on Sunday night by stabbing her over 20 instances and bludgeoning her to dying with a cement slab.
In all, the woman, Sakshi, was discovered to have 34 wound marks on her physique and her cranium was ruptured. The ultimate post-mortem report is awaited, the police stated.
A police officer, a part of the investigation, stated when Sahil was questioned about his relationship with the sufferer, he stated he was together with her since June 2021.
The sufferer had instructed her dad and mom that she had been staying with one in every of her buddies Neetu who has two kids and lived in just one room, police stated. Sakshi was staying together with her buddy for the earlier 15 days.
The police stated that it had registered FIR in the matter underneath part 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Shahbad Dairy Police Station.
The National Commission for Women Chairperson Rekha Sharma wrote to the Commissioner of Police, Delhi to conduct a good and time-bound investigation into the matter and to arrest the accused on the earliest.
The fee has shaped a three-member crew headed by Member Delina Khongdup to look into the matter.
