Telecom operator Vi has announced the expansion of its 5G services to all 14 districts of Kerala.
Vi 5G is now available state-wide, enabling customers to experience next-gen connectivity across urban areas as well as in emerging towns. As an introductory offer, the company is offering the most affordable 5G plan for Kerala users, with 5G packs starting at just ₹299.
Following the successful launch of its 5G network in Kochi, Kozhikode, Thiruvananthapuram and Malappuram, the company has scaled its network in recent months as part of its focused strategy to strengthen its services in Kerala.
The company has significantly expanded its 5G coverage and capacity across the State to ensure low latency, high-speed connectivity to customers in both urban and rural locations in Kerala. With this expansion, Vi 5G now covers all major towns, commercial hubs, educational clusters, tourism corridors and high-density residential areas in Kerala.
George Mathew V. Cluster Business Head-Kerala, Vodafone Idea said, “We are happy to announce that Vi 5G is now available in every district in Kerala. In the second half of 2025, we accelerated 5G deployments across the State with advanced, energy-efficient infrastructure and AI-powered Self-Organizing Networks (SON) to automatically optimise network performance and deliver high-speed, reliable connectivity. With the enhanced network, we can confidently say that Vi 5G provides a future-ready experience built on high-performance connectivity.”
In parallel with its 5G rollout, Vi has been significantly strengthening its 4G network in Kerala to deliver wider coverage, faster data speeds and an improved overall customer experience. From September 2024 to September 2025, the company has deployed over 3,500 new 4G sites across the 900 MHz, 1800 MHz and 2100 MHz spectrum bands, enhancing both indoor and outdoor network performance throughout the State.
There are also plans to add more sites in the coming months to further augment network capacity and bandwidth to deliver reliable, high-quality connectivity across both urban and rural markets.
