Assam’s pride, Binita Chetry, has made history on the global stage by securing the third position — second runner-up — in the grand finale of Britain’s Got Talent (BGT) 2025. The sensational dancer from Bokajan in Karbi Anglong district captivated international audiences with her powerful performances, becoming the first contestant from India to reach the finals of the prestigious competition.

The grand finale of BGT 2025 took place in the UK on May 31. British magician Harry Moulding clinched the top spot, while the LED dance group “The Blackouts” secured second place. The winner received a cash prize of £250,000 and an opportunity to perform at the prestigious Royal Variety Performance later this year.
