DMK Parliamentary Party leader Kanimozhi on Wednesday (February 4, 2026) said seat-sharing talks with the Congress were continuing and only the committee appointed for the purpose would discuss seat allocation and related issues.
When asked whether the Congress’ demand was high, she declined to respond, saying seats had not yet been discussed. She added that DMK president and Chief Minister M.K. Stalin would announce if more political parties joined the DMK alliance.
Speaking to reporters after holding discussions with representatives of various organisations to elicit their views and suggestions for inclusion in the manifesto, Ms. Kanimozhi, who is heading the manifesto committee, said the panel would consider appropriate inputs for inclusion with the Chief Minister’s approval.
She also condemned the suspension of eight MPs, including Su. Venkatesan and Manickam Tagore, saying they had resorted to protests because their speeches were not recorded.
