The network, identified as “BOS IPTV”, was involved in the unauthorised distribution of copyrighted content across digital platforms. Officials said the action is part of an ongoing crackdown on piracy networks following earlier enforcement against a large-scale illegal IPTV operation.

Preliminary investigation found the network had over 900 users and was run through coordinated digital channels, including messaging platforms. Payments were collected via QR codes, bank accounts and other deposit mechanisms, indicating organised financial flows.
Authorities seized multiple electronic devices and financial records during the operation and froze around ₹20 lakh linked to the accused.
The case was registered under provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, the Information Technology Act and the Copyright Act, following a complaint supported by JioStar India Private Limited, which holds broadcast and digital rights to the content.
Officials said further investigation is underway, with more links in the network being examined.
