The White House on Wednesday denied any involvement in an alleged drone attack on the Kremlin. The growth comes after Russian spokesman Dmitry Peskov accused Washington of guiding Ukraine to launch the assault.
“Attempts to disown this, each in Kyiv and in Washington, are, after all, completely ridiculous. We know very nicely that selections about such actions, about such terrorist assaults, are made not in Kyiv however in Washington,” Peskov mentioned, in accordance with feedback reported by Reuters.
Russia accuses US of being behind Kremlin drone attack
Earlier, Ukraine mentioned that it has ‘nothing to do’ with an alleged drone attack on the Kremlin that Russian authorities say focused President Vladimir Putin.
Russia mentioned that it had shot down two drones in the Russian capital. The Kremlin decried the alleged attack try as a ‘terrorist act’ and mentioned Russian army and safety forces ‘disabled’ the drones earlier than they may strike. It didn’t elaborate.
The Kremlin claimed the attack was deliberate to disrupt Victory Day, which Russia celebrates in Red Square on May 9 to commemorate the defeat of Nazi Germany in World War II. Peskov mentioned the parade would go on as scheduled.
Putin wasn’t in the Kremlin on the time and was at his Novo-Ogaryovo residence outdoors Moscow, his spokesman Dmitry Peskov instructed Russia’s state information company RIA Novosti.
