The
examination
was
conducted

May
25,

declared,

the
official
website
of
UPSC
at
upsc.gov.in. - On
the
homepage,
locate
the
“What’s
New” section
or
scroll
to
the
“Examination”
section. - Click
on
the
link
titled
“UPSC
CSE
Prelims
2025
Result”
or
a
similar
heading. - A
PDF
file
will
open
or
download,
which
contains
the
roll
numbers
of
qualified
candidates. - Use
the
Ctrl+F
function
to
find
your
roll
number
in
the
list.
This
year,
UPSC
introduced
a
new
One-Time
Registration
(OTR)
system.
All
candidates
were
required
to
register
on
this
portal
before
applying
for
the
exam.
The
OTR
profile
only
needs
to
be
created
once
and
remains
valid
for
all
future
UPSC
exams.
Those
who
had
already
registered
were
allowed
to
proceed
directly
with
the
application
form
for
the
Preliminary
Examination.
UPSC
CSE
Prelims
2025:
Exam
Pattern
The
Civil
Services
Examination
is
conducted
in
two
major
phases:
Prelims
and
Mains.
The
Prelims
serves
as
a
qualifying
screening
test.
It
consists
of
two
objective-type
papers:
General
Studies
Paper
I
and
CSAT
(Paper
II),
carrying
a
total
of
400
marks.
The
exam
includes
multiple-choice
questions,
and
incorrect
answers
incur
a
penalty
of
one-third
of
the
marks
assigned
to
that
question.
There
is
no
penalty
for
unanswered
questions.
UPSC
CSE
Prelims
2025:
Passing
Criteria
To
qualify
for
the
Mains
stage,
candidates
must
obtain
at
least
33%
marks
in
CSAT
and
also
meet
the
cutoff
score
for
General
Studies
Paper
I,
as
determined
by
the
Commission.
Based
on
these
criteria,
a
list
of
shortlisted
candidates
will
be
prepared.
What
Happens
After
the
Prelims
Result?
Once
the
result
is
announced,
all
candidates
who
have
cleared
the
Prelims
will
be
required
to
fill
out
the
Detailed
Application
Form-I
(DAF-I)
in
order
to
proceed
to
the
Mains
Examination.
The
Commission
will
soon
release
a
notification
specifying
the
guidelines
and
deadlines
for
submitting
the
DAF-I.
