Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Wednesday condoled the passing of Sardar Parkash Singh Badal in a letter to his son Sukhbir Badal, saying a stalwart had handed.
“I’ve learnt with profound sorrow the demise of the one you love father Sardar Prakash Singh Badal ji. Prakash Singh Badal ji was a political stalwart who performed a major function in Punjab politics for a lot of many years,” Singh stated.
Remembering late Badal, the previous Prime Minister stated, “In his lengthy political and administrative profession, a five-time Chief Minister of Punjab, he made a number of noteworthy contributions in the direction of the welfare of farmers and different weaker sections of our society. I’ve fond reminiscences of my interactions with Badal Sahib on a number of points.”
Singh and his spouse Gursharan Kaur supplied condolences to the Badal household.
Shiromani Akali Dal patriarch Badal handed away on Tuesday night. He was 95.
