BBL 14: Melbourne Stars have produced one of the finest comebacks in the history of franchise cricket, as the 3-time Big Bash League runners up win 5 games on the trot to seal the final playoffs berth for the 14th season of the franchise T20 cricket league of Australia.
The last league game of the BBL 14 was played between Melbourne Stars and Hobart Hurricanes at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, and the match ended in home side’s favour, as they defended their 219 by registering a 40-run win.

With the win, fans in Australia have now their final-four of the Big Bash League Season 14. Hobart Hurricanes finish on top of the table despite today’s defeat, with 15 points, followed by the teams from Syndey. ‘Sixers’ finished 2nd with 14 points, and ‘Thunder’ finished third with 12 points.
Melbourne Stars now join them as the fourth and last side into the playoffs with 10 points, and they will now play against Sydney Thunder in the ‘Knockout’ at the Sydney Showground Stadium in Sydney, on Wednesday, January 22.
