A video of an ambulance bursting into flames in the middle of the road in Maharashtra’s Jalgaon district caught the Internet’s attention. According to an NDTV report, a pregnant woman and her family had a narrow escape after an oxygen cylinder in the vehicle exploded. The incident occurred on a flyover on a National Highway in the Dada Wadi area.
The viral clip captures the ambulance on fire as onlookers surround the area. A massive explosion occurs in the blink of an eye. Reports also stated that the explosion was so strong that it shattered the windows of the houses in the vicinity. The driver noticed smoke coming out from the engine, following which he exited the vehicle and helped the pregnant woman and family to exit the vehicle.
The ambulance was headed to the Erandol government hospital to Jalgaon district hospital.
Sharing the video on X, a journalist wrote, “Notably, no one was reported hurt as the driver’s alertness made him notice the smoke coming out from vehicle, leading to quick evacuation of those on board.”

Last month, a similar incident was reported in Uttar Pradesh. According to a report in The Times of India, an ambulance parked near a petrol pump caught fire, leading to an explosion. The incident happened in the Pratapgarh district. The driver saw a sudden smoke coming out from his vehicle. He exited the vehicle through the emergency door.
