area,
Uttar
Pradesh.
Three
days

police

Dileep
Saini,

correspondent

a

outlet,
was
assaulted
near
the
Bhitaura
bypass
on
Wednesday
night.
He
succumbed
to
his
injuries
at
a
hospital
in
Kanpur,
according
to
police
reports.

suspects:

Jitendra
Patel,
32;

Sharma,
35;

Kumar,
33;
and
Sunil
Rana,
a
revenue
clerk.
Authorities
are
still
searching
for
four
other
named
suspects
and
six
unidentified
individuals.

they

charges

the
Gangster
Act.
Protests
and
Demands

Justice
On
Saturday,
journalists
protested
against
Saini’s
murder
by
marching
from
Civil
Lines
to
the
district
court.
They
submitted
a
memorandum
to
the
district
magistrate
demanding
severe
punishment
for
those
involved.
The
memorandum
was
addressed
to
Chief
Minister
Yogi
Adityanath.
Protesters
wore
black
armbands
as
a
sign
of
mourning
and
solidarity.
The
motive

brutal
attack
is
believed
to
be
a
property
dispute
involving
financial
matters.

the
district
have

in
their
call
for
justice
for
Dileep
Saini.
Ajay
Singh
Bhadauria,
president
of
the
district
journalist
association,
stated,
“All
the
journalists
in
the
district
are
united
in
seeking
justice
for
Dilip
Saini.
We
demand
Rs
1
crore
compensation
for
Sainis
family,
a
government
job
for
his
younger
brother,
and
death
penalty
for
the
perpetrators.”

has

who
are
demanding
accountability
and
justice.

police
continue
their
investigation
to
apprehend
all
individuals
involved
in
this
heinous
