It has been nearly three weeks for the reason that Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) had requested the Punjab Government via Chief Secretary VK Janjua why it had not despatched a panel of eligible officers to the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) relating to the appointment of a daily Director General of Police (DGP).
Gaurav Yadav has been the officiating DGP for 9 months now. The Supreme Court had dominated {that a} state may have an officiating DGP for a most six months.
