To promote creativity and reduce stress among students, the district administration had announced to observe a bag-free day on last Saturday of every month in primary schools.
On this day, the schoolchildren do not bring their bags, participate in fun activities and learn about etiquettes, team work, communication skills and good behaviour.
Fazilka Deputy Commissioner Senu Duggal, who initiated the project, said there are 468 primary schools in the district and nearly 72,000 students are being imparted education in these schools.
The DC said on the bag-free day, the students participate in recreational activities. The aim of this initiative was to provide stress-free learning experience, enhance creativity and skills of children, the DC added.
